Each year, The Black Rep Touring Company performs more than 150 shows for schools, community centers, corporations, churches and other organizations in St. Louis and throughout the Midwest region. Touring shows compliment academic curriculum by illustrating history, teaching literature, and reinforcing morals.

THE STRONG MEN
Based on a poem by Sterling A. Brown, Developed by Black Rep Touring Company
This choreo-poem displays the powerful voices and delicate humor of African Americans who have made major contributions to American history. The Black Rep brings to vivid life some of the verses, which show how poetry can be spoken, sung and danced, and how poetry can be a window to the self and to our world.
